He takes risks without a doubt,

In a bid to make them stick.

As the game draws to its close,

And the endgame draws near,

He seeks out his final blows,

With a sharp and steely ear.

And when the game is done,

And he stands as the victor,

He basks in the joy of having won,

A chess player with uncommon vigor.
